Description
Implementation of Network Infrastructure for Support and Telephone Assistance Center
Challenge
To establish communication between two buildings, each with about 600 computers, as well as to connect a warehouse that housed another 800 computers. Additionally, interconnection with the client's main data center was required. All this through the implementation of high-speed networks, with the commitment to guarantee the availability of the network service in all locations.
Solution
The network architecture necessary to distribute more than 2000 computers in different assigned spaces was designed. In collaboration with the service provider, the interconnection of the buildings was carried out through the implementation of a fiber optic infrastructure. An MPLS link was also established to connect with the warehouse. For internal interconnection, fiber was used from the Core communications rack to the distribution communications rack, from where traditional Cat6 cabling was deployed towards the access switches.
Furthermore, highly redundant links were established through MPLS and a Site2Site VPN was implemented from the various physical locations to ensure the security of communications with the main data center.
